- Multi-Angle Analysis of Corrosion and Cracks with Precise Dimensional Quantification.
- Non-Destructive Inspection Reveals Hidden Structures with Reliable Quantitative Data.
- Breaking Traditional Limitations with Electromagnetic Ultrasonic Precision Measurement of Remaining Wall Thickness.
Inspection Overview
Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) is one of the most advanced high-level non-destructive testing solutions currently available in the industrial sector. Unlike conventional point-based ultrasonic testing that only performs single-point measurements, PAUT uses electronically controlled multiple-array piezoelectric elements to flexibly adjust ultrasonic beam angles and focusing depths.
This technology applies linear beam and sector scanning techniques for detecting internal corrosion on pipeline surfaces. Similar to a "3D CT scan for industrial equipment," it generates multiple ultrasonic beams along the pipeline and converts internal structural conditions into intuitive, high-resolution color images in real time, effectively eliminating inspection blind spots. By analyzing various signal views, including B-scan, S-scan, D-scan, and C-scan images, the system accurately creates corrosion mapping images and precisely quantifies the remaining pipeline wall thickness.
Applications
- Boiler Tubes: Detection of internal corrosion defects.
- Petrochemical Plant Pipelines: Inspection of flare lines, slop lines, and pipelines with internal corrosion mechanisms.
- Storage Tank Structures: Thickness measurement and corrosion monitoring of tank bottom plates and shell plates.
- Weld Inspection: Detection and evaluation of internal weld defects.
※ Important Notes ※
This technology is suitable for internal inspection of components with smooth surfaces and temperatures below 60°C. It is not intended for surface defect detection. The corrosion depth measurement error can be precisely controlled within < 0.1 mm.
